As you may be aware Whitehaven has a great live music scene many of the artists and bands that perform around town are local home-grown talent.

These local artists and bands are going to be releasing a compilation CD, with 100% of the money going to West Cumberland Hospital Children’s Ward.

Organiser David Eldon said “There are kids that have to stay in hospital over Christmas, it must be awful for them. I wanted to make their Christmas as good as it could be. The CD and the gig are hopefully going to make enough money to make that happen."

The CD will hit the shops 24th October and will cost just £5
(however if you would like to donate more, it all goes to charity)

Included on the 16 track CD will be: Mazzoni, David Eldon, Marratimes, Adam Amor, GO, Gavin Mckew, Stef Wars, Andy Winter, Luke Telford, Shore, Andy Vaughan, Roy Robson, Lez, Andrea Cockbain.

Each act was asked to donate a song for the CD. All songs have been professionally recorded.

There will also be a charity gig held on the 28th November (Hosted by the Mighty Boof) in GL3 & Gallaghers.

Organisers have also been seeking sponsorship in order to raise more funds for the charity.
